Prof. Ben Schouten

New sensing and distributed technologies will enable transparent biometric applications integrating in our daily life. In its short history biometrics developed from primary security technology to enabler for human computer interaction, gaming, ambient intelligence etc etc. Current technologies focus not only on authentication, the so called WHO question, but als on WHAT is the user doing or WHERE (location based), WHEN and possibly WHY.

In this lecture we will discuss new scenarios and user applications, but also we will look into privacy issues, identity and discuss the latest research challenges.
