Prof. James V. Haxby

Jim Haxby is the Evans Family Distinguished Professor at Dartmouth College (Hanover, NH, USA) where he is the Director for the Center for Cognitive Neuroscience. He also is a Professor at the University of Trento in the Center for Mind/Brain Sciences (CIMeC). He is known for his contributions to visual neuroscience and, in particular, for his work on the human neural system for face perception and his work on neural decoding using multivariate pattern analysis (MVPA). His current research focuses on computational methods for building models of neural representational spaces that are common across brains and have general validity across a broad range of brain states.
