Yi Chen

Yi Chen is a research assistant at the Biometrics Research Lab at Michigan State University. She received her B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from Sichuan University, China and M.S. in Statistics from Michigan State University. Currently, she is finishing her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering at MSU, with her thesis work focused on "Automatic Fingerprint Recognition Using Extended Feature Set". She worked as a summer intern at Identix Corporate Research, New Jersey, and TBS Holding, Switzerland, in 2005 and 2006 respectively. She is a coauthor of the Motorola Best Student Paper at the International Conference on Biometrics (ICB), Hong Kong, 2006. She is a member of the International Association of Identification. She is also a member of the CDEFFS, the ANSI/NIST committee to define an extended feature set for fingerprint and palmprint.
