Dr. Hervé Chabanne
Hervé Chabanne got his PHD in Applied Mathematics from the Université
de Limoges in May 1993. Since 1995, he is working at Sagem Défense
Sécurité.
Today, he is leading the Security expertise team which mainly works on
the securization and evaluation of Sagem Orga smartcards. He is also a
senior expert for Safran Group. His main activity is related with cryptography
and he was awarded in 2005 by the Grand Prix du Général
Ferrié for his works on the protection of cryptographic components.
Since 2000, he is
involved in the integration of biometric in cryptography and is currently
coordinator of the french ANR project BACH (Biometric Authentication with
Cryptographic Handling, 2006-2008). He holds many patents on these subjects.
