Dr. Giuseppe (Geppy) Parziale

Dr. Geppy Parziale is currently Chief Technology Officer for TBS Holding AG (Switzerland). His main activity is related with biometrics and in particular with fingerprint recognition. He is leading the R&D activities within the company and he is one of the inventor of this technology.

From February 2002 until August 2005, he was the Head of the Biometrics Solutions Group within the Institute of Image Processing of Joanneum Reasearch (Austria).

From October 2000 until January 2002, he was digital designer and concept engineer in Infineon Technology (Austria) for the FingerTip, a CMOS fingerprint sensor.

Dr. Parziale is the developer of iFingerSys a innovative feature extraction and matching algorithm for fingerprint recognition. He is currently involved in the update of the ANSI/NIST fingerprint standards. He has different publications on fingerprint recognition and 3 patents on touchless fingerprinting. He is member of the European Biometric Forum and the Association for Biometrics. He is also member of the IEEE.
